Terms and conditions
01 Changes must be made in writing, at least one month prior to the first day of a new
payment period, taking into account the minimum contract duration. The member
is responsible for this.
02 Memberships are for a minimum number of weeks, as indicated in the agreement.
The cancellation must be in writing and with signature. The cancellation period
is one month, no later than the first day of the new payment period. The member
ship fee continues without written notice, even with promotions. Student deals
cannot be terminated prematurely.
03 Special student deals are automatically converted into a student membership for
an indefinite period at the end of the promotion period, until the membership is
cancelled in accordance with number 02 of the general terms and conditions.
A special student deal does end automatically if an end date is explicitly included
in the agreement.
04 Payment of the membership fee is via direct bank transfer before the day of
the new payment period. If the direct debit is reversed, we will charge € 5.00
administration costs. If no payment is received on time, the customer will have
to pay interest on the invoice amount equal to the statutory commercial interest,
calculated from the due date up to and including the day of payment, without
further notice of default. All costs associated with the collection of the late payment will have to be paid by the member. The extra costs are at least 15% of
the amount to be collected, with a minimum of € 150.
05 The member hereby authorizes mac SportsClub to automatically deduct the
membership fee from account number. If you do not agree with the charge, you
can have it refunded within 30 days.
06 The deposit for the pass is € 12.50. After termination of the membership, you
must return the card undamaged within two months. After receiving the card, mac
will return the deposit on your account within 14 days. Costs will be charged if the
card is damaged.
07 An entrance fee (€ 19.95 & € 9.95) will be charged upon registration. As soon as
a renewed membership is purchased, € 9.95 will be charged each time, unless
the new membership directly follows the existing membership.
08 mac SportsClub is closed on the usual public holidays (including Carnaval).
The membership fee will then stay in place. During the summer months and the
months December and January, we adjust our opening hours and group class
schedules.
09 Working out without a membership or with an expired membership is not allowed.
A fine of € 50 is imposed on people who don’t have a valid membership. The timely
renewal of the membership is the responsibility of the member.
10 Cancellation of a scheduled Personal Training or food consultation must be done
at least 24 hours in advance. There are costs if the cancellation of the Personal
Training or food consultation is within 24 hours before the start of the appointment.
11 The member gives mac SportsClub permission to include his/her personal data
in the administration and use it for contacts with the member. mac SportsClub
follows all guidelines for the GDPR legislation. Our privacy statement is available
at the front desk.
12 The membership is not transferable to someone else.
13 mac SportsClub is never liable for personal and property damage, immaterial
damage, consequential damage (loss of income, stagnation damage, etc.) and
other indirect damage, caused by whatever cause, unless there is gross negligence
or intent on the part of mac SportsClub. All advice given on the website(s) of
mac SportsClub or notifications and statements made about, among other things,
the characteristics of services to be provided by mac SportsClub are entirely
without obligation and are given without any guarantee. For any direct or indirect
loss arising from information provided - like consultancy - mac SportsClub is not
liable.
14 In all cases in which mac SportsClub is obliged to pay compensation, this amount
will never be higher than the invoice value (excluding VAT) of the services provided
in connection with the damage that has been caused. If the damage is covered by
the business liability insurance of mac SportsClub, the compensation will also
never exceed the amount actually paid out by the insurer in the case.
15 Any claim against mac SportsClub, unless it has been acknowledged by mac
SportsClub, will expire 12 months after the claim arose.
16 The liability provisions apply without prejudice to the rights that the consumer has
by law and they will not be deviated from.
17 House Rules: Wear clean, non-marking indoor athletic shoes while working out.
Shoes that are used outside are not allowed. Leave bags, coats and clothes in the
changing rooms or lockers. Always take your mac SportsClub membership card
with you and check in before you work out. The use of a towel during working out is
mandatory. A complete overview of the house rules is available at the front desk.
18 If mac SportsClub is forced to temporarily close its doors due to government
measurements (for example in the event of a pandemic), the membership will
continue automatically. There is no right to a refund of the membership fee.
mac SportsClub does the best possible effort to provide an alternative for Athletic
and yoga during a temporary, forced closure.
19 mac SportsClub is entitled to use Athletic and yoga group classes for images and/
or to make or have video and sound recordings and to use these images for a live
stream and/or video. Members give permission to use these images use. Those
who appear in the recordings cannot assert any rights on any compensation

• Bring your membership card each time you visit mac Sportsclub
• Download the mac app (virtuagym) via link in email you received
• Upload your own photo in the app
• Always bring a towel when you visit mac
• Wear clean indoor non marking sport shoes
• You need to bring your own Yoga mat for the Yoga class
• Bags, clothes etc. should stay in the changing room or lockers (bring a lock!)
• Always make a reservation for your workout or a class
• The Athletic classes are at number 74 on the second floor. The Yoga and Pilates classes are at number 56 in the Yoga Studio. The small group training and the Anti Gravity Yoga is at number 74 on the ground floor.
• Be on time for the classes. When the door is closed you cannot join anymore
• Memberships are automatically renewed with 4 weeks and cannot be paused or cancelled before the end date
• Cancelation only by email (frontdesk@macmaastricht.nl) always one month before the start of a new period of 4 weeks
